LIGUE 1 - The European press is delighted with the substitution of Messi

While PSG and Lyon were tied 1-1 on the field of Parc des Princes, Mauricio Pochettino decided to subbed off Lionel Messi to bring in Achraf Hakimi in the 76th minute. A change which obviously did not please his compatriot in view of his reaction.

"Everyone knows that we have very great players, decisions are made for the best of the team, sometimes it works sometimes not, sometimes it pleases, sometimes not. We are here for that on the bench. His reaction ? I just asked him how he was, he told me he was fine.” the Argentine tactician then argued at a press conference.

And very quickly, the images found themselves on the front pages of the various European media. In Spain and especially in Catalonia for example, where Mundo Deportivo explains that "the face of the Argentinian was quite a poem, refusing to shake hands with his coach". On the side of Sport, the images of this "incident" are still in one and the media also relayed the explanations of Pochettino, a sign that this episode greatly interested the readers of the newspaper, mainly fans of FC Barcelona. The replacement of the old blaugrana number 10 even slips onto the front pages of the print edition of both newspapers, with an insert and the famous photo of the discord.
