Mexican striker and Los Angeles FC star Carlos Vela returned to play last weekend after an injury had kept him out for several weeks, in a match where LAFC were able to beat Colorado Rapids.

Vela played for 60 minutes before being substituted and manager Bob Bradley spoke about his performance this Thursday in a press conference: "In the 60 minutes he played over the weekend he did some very good things". When asked about whether he is ready for the full 90 minutes, Bradley added: "He's still not fit for the full 90, but we'll gradually increase the number of minutes we give him, surely and see how he responds to a match's pace"

The skipper went on to say that "he slows the game down and has great vision to see chances before they come about. His understanding with (LAFC forward) Travis Blackmon is very good...I think we're yet to see the best from him in the months to come"
