Cruz Azul to miss a key player for LigaMX final first leg

In a tweet on the team's official Twitter account, Cruz Azul revealed the players for the first leg of the Clausura 2021 Final first leg against Santos Laguna. 

Notably, midfielder Roberto Alvarado was left off, and it was revealed that the midfielder was forced to go back to Mexico City due to the fact that his wife, Dayana Gomez, had just lost the baby the couple were expecting. The player confirmed this in a tweet on his account that simply read "Fly high my princess, we'll always love you". 

Alvarado's place in the starting eleven will be occupied by Yoshimar Yotun, while Cruz Azul will see striker Bryan Angulo come back to the squad after an injury had kept him out of the semifinal second leg against Pachuca.
