Ordiales: "Hopefully this squad can continue together for the future"
After Cruz Azul were able to break their 24-year drought on Sunday, the cementeros Technical Director, Jaime Ordiales spoke about what's next for La Maquina Celeste in an exclusive interview for W Deportes:
"We'll have to make some important decisions this upcoming week. Hopefully this squad can continue togetrher for the future. Many of the players were unhappy with what happened in December (the defeat against Pumas in the semifinals by a score of 4-0, editor's note), we needed to have a strong comeback. Today we were able to achieve that."
When asked about Oreblin Pineda's future he answered: "There are no talks with other clubs regarding Orbelin at the moment, our priority is for everybody to stay". He added "This win is the result of all the good decisions we as top brass made. (Manager) Juan Reynoso's arrival was complicated, but he went above and beyond what we expected from him."
