Phil Neville "We love having Pizarro at Inter Miami CF"

MLS club Inter Miami are coming off a defeat this past Saturday against Chicago Fire, and English manager Phil Neville had a chance to reflect on the club's recent troubles in a press conference on Thursday:

"We need to hold ourselves accountable to a higher standard in this club, week by week, day by day, during each match. We aren't happy with the team's inconsistent performance at the moment. I knew where I was going when I decided to come to this club and I knew the expectations as well, and we are still not at the level we need to be"

He also spoke about Mexican winger Rodolfo Pizarro, who is expected to come back on the pitch after an injury: "He had an injury to the hip flexor. He wasn't in good shape even for the Cincinnati match, he just wasn't in good condition to give it his all. He's been training well this week, I am expecting great things from him"

On rumors of Pizarro's departure he added: "There has been much speculation about him, a lot of people are talking about him. But I say to everybody that we love Rodolfo at this club, he's a great player. I need to do my best to put him in the best situation on the pitch"
