Impressive Italy defeated Lithuania 5-0 in a World Cup qualifier on Wednesday, extending their unbeaten streak to 37 games.

The European champions, led by Roberto Mancini, became the first Italian team to reach the half-hour mark with a four-goal lead.

Moise Kean, a young Everton recruit, gave Italy an early lead, pouncing on a poor back-pass by Arvydas Novikovas to his keeper Ernestas Setkus.

Giacomo Raspadori, making his international debut at Sassuolo's home stadium in Reggio Emilia, watched as his effort was deflected into his own goal by Edgaras Utkus.

After defender Justas Lasickas failed to clear Giovanni Di Lorenzo's low cross, Raspadori, who was no doubt unhappy not to have his name next to the goal, did not have to wait long for that honor.
