South American national team coaches protested against European clubs on Saturday for pressuring their players to boycott three rounds of World Cup qualifying this month.

Tite of Brazil, Lionel Scaloni of Argentina, Reinaldo Rueda of Colombia, and Martin Lasarte of Chile all urge FIFA to fix the problem before the next three rounds of the 10-team round in October.

Following their clubs' advice, some England-based players chose not to go due to COVID-19 limitations enforced by the British government, which has red-listed South America, requiring obligatory hotel quarantine if they visit and return.

Tite has nine English Premier League players missing, including five regular starts. He agreed with another disgruntled coach, Lasarte. They talked following Brazil's 1-0 victory over Chile in Santiago on Thursday.
