SERIE A - Inter Milan hitman Dzeko: "We knew Fiorentina would drop off"
Scoring one of tonight's three victory goals against Fiorentina, Inter Milan star hitman Edin Dzeko commented:
“Every goal is important to me, but when it’s decisive, such as the one today, it’s even more important. That was the sort of game that great teams win and we are a great team.
We struggled throughout the first half, but we knew that Fiorentina would drop off and we then played better, immediately managing to score two goals that changed the game. My understanding with Lautaro is improving. He’s a top player and it’s easy to develop that understanding. I’m pleased to be playing alongside such top players.
We came out on top with a fine team display and we hope to win many other games together. Since the start of the season, I’d already had other headed chances from corners, but now I’ve finally scored one. It’s great to attack corners when Dimarco and Calhanoglu take them”.
