This summer, Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United, which he left in 2009 to join Real Madrid. A comeback that Dolores Aveiro, the Portuguese's mother, hailed in Leão's DNA podcast: "We talked a lot about Manchester City, but he said to me: 'mum, don't worry about what they say because that I'm going to Manchester United.' I said I really liked it and it made me happy. To see the stadium packed with 75,000 people chanting his name was such an emotion," she said, reports A Bola.

But she would still like to see him in another shirt by the end of his career. Indeed, she also said that she would like her son to return to Sporting Lisbon, where he started his career before moving to the Red Devils. For her, “Ronaldo has to come back here, for me he would already be there. He likes to watch Sporting matches. I once told him: 'son, before I die I want to see you come back to Sporting' to which he replied 'we'll see.' If that doesn't happen, another Ronaldo could don the club's jersey, in the person of his son, Cristianinho: “he wants to play Sporting,” added Dolores Aveiro.
