Leeds United are ready to challenge Arsenal for the services of Ajax defender Noussair Mazraoui.

The 23-year-old Morrocan’s deal with the Dutch club runs out at the end of the campaign, meaning he could be snared on a free transfer come summer 2022 or for a cheaper sum before.

According to Football Insider, the Whites want to bring in a new right-back to add some much-needed depth in the role with Luke Ayling currently the only senior player at Elland Road who naturally plays in that position.

And with the Englishman currently injured and entering his latter years, Marcelo Bielsa is said to be interested in pursuing de Joden ace.

The full-back was linked with a transfer to Arsenal last summer and the Gunners still hold an interest in him in spite of the arrival of Takehiro Tomiyasu.
