PREMIER - 2022-23 EPL season to break 1 week before 2022 World Cup

Players in the Premier League will have just over a week to prepare for the World Cup in Qatar in 2022. The 2022-23 EPL season will now end on the weekends of November 12 and 13, eight days before the tournament begins.
The Premier League changed its calendar on Thursday to suit the 2019 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the winter months to avoid the extreme summer heat in the Middle East.
The 2022-23 season will begin earlier than usual on August 6 and will run for 16 rounds before taking a break. Only eight days after the World Cup final, play will resume on Dec. 26.
On May 28, 2023, the last matchday will take place, with all games starting at the same time.
