As a follow-up to Burnley latest defeat against Tottenham, Clarets manager Sean Dyche stated:

"It was certainly a solid performance. Tottenham are a good side and I’m pleased with the mentality to take the game on. We can’t find the rub of the green, to be honest. Their goal comes from a deflection from our defender trying to get a block on it – we can’t find one of those moments, which would be helpful.

We made a lot of changes tonight but there were some really good performances and they’re all knocking on the door. It’s hard to fault them at the minute. We’ve changed the system a bit, changed the players. There are a lot of things they are doing right, so we have to maintain that. There was plenty of belief in the performance tonight and we have to make sure we take the chances and find the clinical moments.

There were lots of good things in the game. Popey [Nick Pope] is right back on it, they were two big saves – from our mistakes, it must be said. He’s a top goalkeeper getting back to real sharpness. Dwight [McNeil] is looking sharp again, Connor [Roberts] has done great tonight in his first runout and physically he’s done well. The attitude is correct, the belief in what we’re trying to do is correct, we just have to find those moments. I keep saying it but that’s the reality of it, as a lot of the performance is right.

The fans were terrific and stayed behind the team. In the last 10-15 minutes we were on the offensive and trying different ways to open things up. The fans noticed that and they will be important for us as well. It’s about the team, of course, but the fans can play their part too and they were brilliant tonight”.
