The Blues are reportedly in the market for a striker and asked for their former frontman after failing to make any more ground in their pursuit for Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland. But despite a €10 million-a-year salary offer, Lukaku turned down the chance to go back to Stamford Bridge, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 28-year-old has expressed his desire to stay in Italy, (despite Antonio Conte's has left the club), so Lukaku is very happy to try to win 'Scudetto' again. Inter forward having scored 65 goals in 95 games and he has no desire to return to the Premier League, following his underwhelming adventure for Manchester United.

In particular, some rumors claim that an important offer has already been delivered to inter: 100 million euros, including Marcos Alonso as part of the negotiation for the Belgian.
He is considered a key player for the club, while Lautaro Martinez can leave "San Siro" with the right offer (Arsenal rumors).

Despite Inter's need to raise funds amid a financial crisis at the club, the striker is "untouchable". The Nerazzurri have already moved some players on with the main one being full-back Achraf Hakimi to PSG for €70m.
