PREMIER - Crystal Palace, Edouard: "I feel excited about this project"

Ahead of Crystal Palace upcoming PL match against Wolverhampton, Eagles striker Odsonne Edouard stated: 

“I’m happy here. The guys made me feel at home here. They welcomed me very well – it’s been good for me. It’s the project. They have big ambitions. A lot of young players came in the last transfer window. I knew about the team because I watch a lot of Premier League games. I feel excited about the project and this team.

It’s a very, very big difference [to playing in Scotland]. It’s not the same identity. It’s more quick, it’s more strong and there’s more technique. I think the Premier League is the best league in the world, so everything changes. It’s more difficult.

I think I've had a good start, but I can do better. I need to keep working, to score more goals, to make some assists and to help the team. I have a target, but I prefer to keep that for me – it’s better. It was a very good result for the team. We’re all happy about this game, but now we have to focus on the next game and we have to work hard.

It gives us a lot of confidence, because we played against one of the best teams in the world. We go to Manchester City, we don’t concede and score two goals is great for confidence. It will help a lot for the next few games. [Wolves] is going to be a tough game. It’s a good team. We work hard this week for this game, so hopefully we win this one. [Lage] plays well.

They do not lose the last five games, they have won four games. So they are good at the moment, but we are good at the moment too. We have to keep focused on the game and play well. That’s it”.
