Frank Lampard has surfaced as a potential candidate to take over as manager of Norwich City.

According to Fabrizio Romano of The Guardian, Norwich officials met with Lampard on Monday to discuss the role as the club looks for a replacement to Daniel Farke.

Lampard is one of three candidates being considered for the post, therefore talks between the two sides were allegedly exploratory.

Romano adds that the 43-year-old hasn't chosen whether or not to accept an offer to coach the Canaries.

Lampard started his coaching career in 2018 at Derby County before being named manager of his previous club Chelsea. He spent a year and a half with the Blues before being fired in January 2021.

Farke was fired by Norwich on Saturday, just after the club's first Premier League victory of the season. Despite the win, the German coach's team is still in last place, with only five points from 11 games.
