"I think we are the biggest club in Manchester." With these words, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made the biggest headline and the number one topic of conversation ahead of the derby against Manchester City. What his team from Manchester United then brought onto the lawn at Old Trafford had little to do with a big club or title contender.

It quickly became clear: Solskjar hadn't disrupted the Skyblues with his words. Already in the first half, Pep Guardiola's team set the course for victory with an own goal by Eric Bailly (7th minute) and a goal by Bernardo Silva (45th). United had big problems to counter the much more mature game system of City, only occasionally came to dangerous scenes in front of Ederson's goal.

The score could have been worse for the Red Devils. Goalkeeper David De Gea made a lot of key saves to prevent City from recording a very high score.

Manchester United fans who want OGS sacked immediately sarcastically cheered when van de Beek came on late into the game.
