Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, according to ex-Liverpool player, Steve McManaman, would be well-suited for the Manchester United position.

The Foxes manager's previous work, though, could 'be too much for everyone,' according to the 49-year-old.

“I can’t see Brendan going there,” the ex-Real Madrid star told HorseRacing.net (via Leicestershire Live). “I think he’s got the credentials, yes, but I think his history with Liverpool would be too much for everybody.”

The concept of any previous Liverpool manager moving to a rival is unthinkable; a move to United, on the other hand, is a red line that must be crossed.

Despite a string of dismal results, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains in charge at Old Trafford, including a 5-0 humiliation at the hands of Jurgen Klopp's side before losing a derby to their city rivals the next home game.
