Norwich City sacked manager Daniel Farke just hours after claiming their first Premier League victory of the season.

Before Saturday's 2-1 win against Brentford, the Canaries had gone 20 games without a win in the Premier League.

"In continuing to demand the very best for our football club, this decision was not an easy one," sporting director Stuart Webber said in a statement. "I know how determined Daniel and his staff were to succeed at this level, but we feel that now is the right time for a change to give ourselves the best opportunity of retaining our Premier League status."

With only five points from 11 games, the team is at the bottom of the table.

Farke won 87 of the club's 208 games in charge, but only six of the Premier League's 49 games.
