Left-back for Manchester United. After suffering a head injury in Saturday's 2-0 derby defeat, Luke Shaw is a serious concern for England.

During Saturday's Manchester derby, the defender collided with Rodri and had to be replaced 17 minutes later, which is a long time for someone to play with a head injury, especially since that contemporary science has doubled down on the danger of upper-body injuries.

Shaw must clear the FA's return to play protocols before joining the England group, according to Manchester United.

Manchester United released a statement saying

“Shaw’s head injury was managed in accordance with FA guidelines and he was removed from the field of play as soon as a concussion was suspected.

“Luke will now be monitored by club medical staff, following the FA return to play protocol, and England will be kept updated on progress.”

Although his efforts for United this season have been below standard, he was essential for England when they reached the final of Euro 2020, only to lose to Italy.
