Giorgio Chiellini has extended his contract with Juventus for the next two years. A great achievement for Bianconeri, which has secured again, one of the strongest defender in the World. "Chiello" has been playing with Juventus since 2005, when at the beginning of his carreer he played as a left-back, until becoming a perfect centre-back as time goes by.

Everything began from european cup in 2008 against spain: Giorgio played one of his best match in his carreer, turning him into one of the candidates for the "new Cannavaro". Since then, despite club hardest moments (serie B in 2006, and the two 7th place achieved consecutively), Giorgio has always got better, day after day, he became the main character of 9  Serie A titles in a row. But even a great hero has his achille's heel. It all started with the first injuries, most of the time to the calf, slowing down his path, especially on the last season with Massimiliano Allegri, when he's skipping the most important match against Ajax, in the Champions League.

The following season won't go better. After the first Serie A match with Maurizio Sarri, (Juve won 1-0 against Parma thanks to his goal) he brokes his knee ligaments and he stayed out until the end of the season. Pirlo's year has been the strangest for the captain, he plays 2 games, he skips 3: it's not his moment.

Untile he's capable of going back to the pitch for the start of European cup. His performances are under everyone eyes, with Bonucci, he creates a defensive dream couple, mostly thanks to them Italy will win the trophy. This success will make Juventus reflect, which, pushed by Allegri return (they are both Livornesi citizens), Juventus did not hesitate for a second to extend his contract for two years, in time with Qatar world cup arrival, in winter 2022.
