SERIE A - Torino still after Uruguayan playmaker Gastòn Ramirez
Yet to relocate himself, after his 4-year long Sampdoria tenure was over, back in early July, almost 31-year old Uruguayan attacking midfielder Gastòn Ramirez is still a market target, though not a major one, for Torino management. Granata boss, Ivan Juric, who already wanted to bring him into Hellas Verona ranks, back in summer 2020, has in fact deemed him the right one, in case the club don't succeed in signing either Aleksey Miranchuk (Atalanta) or Riccardo Orsolini (Bologna).
Previously in talks with both Gremio and Al-Sadd, Ramirez used to play also for such clubs as Bologna, Southampton, Hull City, and Middlesbrough. A Peñarol alumni, as well as a former Uruguayan senior international, Ramirez, throughout his pro club career, capped 336 times in official games, scoring 56 goals therein.
