PREMIER - Newcastle keen on Liverpool's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Ever since Liverpool announced that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was for sale, a few clubs have reportedly shown interest in the English international.
A few days ago it was reported that Southampton were keen on Oxlade-Chamberlain's return to the Saints; now it seems a new contender has entered the fray in Newcastle. Skipper Steve Bruce has reportedly requested the midfielder as he would be an essential piece to Newcastle's play. While it was rumored that Southampton would prefer bringing Oxlade-Chamberlain in as a loanee, Klopp is leaning towards a permanent sale, given the the player's frequent injury problems. Last season, he was sidelined for the beginning of the campaign with a knee problem, and only appeared in 13 matches for the Reds.
Newcastle are yet to make known how they would like to bring the midfielder in, but if they are ready to make a splash for the first time this transfer window, it is rumored that Liverpool are asking for 20M GBP for Oxlade-Chamberlain.
