PREMIER - West Ham eyeing Croatian Caleta-Car
In a new report by French news outlet L'Equipe, it was revealed that West Ham are trying to add a centre-back to their squad for the upcoming season, and the Hammers seem to be targeting Croatian international Duje Caleta-Car.
In fact, the English club have already made a first offer, reportedly. It consists of a 14M Euros fixed part plus a potential 3M in bonuses. Marseille, however, are looking for at least 20M, according to the report. Caleta-Car is just the latest centre-back to be linked with West Ham, as Italian media outlets revealed that the club were also targeting Fiorentina's Milenkovic.
The Croatian joined Marseille in 2018 from Red Bull Salzburg, appearing in 76 Ligue 1 matches for Olympique and finding the net three times. He's also represented Croatia at the senior level 16 times starting in 2018, and was part of the National team that took part in Euro 2020 and was eliminated by Spain in the round of 16.
