Ajax ready to welcome Eriksen back
After the Euro 2020 game incident, during which Simon Kjaer basically saved his life, 29-year old Danish box-to-box midfielder Christian Eriksen is yet to find his way back onto the pitch. Former Tottenham star playmaker had joined Inter Milan in late January 2020, and, since then, after a troubled start, across which Antonio Conte was seemingly sidelining him, he managed to build a proper niche for himself in the team.
Still on a deal with Neroazzurri until June 2024, Eriksen, according to Corriere dello Sport, is likely to part ways from Italian giants in January, possibly even by resigning the ongoing contract on mutual consent. To this end, though hardly by offering him the same 7.5 million euros annual salary he's earning right now, Ajax, which Eriksen used to play for from 2008/09 (as a junior member, during his first season) to 2012/13, are allegedly ready to welcome him back into their ranks.
