In the summer of 2022, Erling Haaland will be the most sought-after football professional on the transfer market. At least the 21-year-old's time at Borussia Dortmund should have reached its best-before date. In just under a year, according to popular belief, the Norwegian will be available for 75 to 90 million euros.

According to the 'as', however, this sum is not set in stone. According to the report, “no price has been set in advance for its sale.” BVB could thus freely negotiate the transfer for the attacker, who is still under contract until 2024. It has already been said in the past that the purchase price is more a non-contractual agreement with Haaland's consultant Mino Raiola than an anchored clause.

The previously rumored 75 to 90 million euros would not be peanuts either, but given 66 hits and 19 assists in 66 missions, BVB would sell well below market value. In the potentially gigantic bidding contest that would arise if no clause was agreed, Dortmund instead beckons an even more handsome compensation for the loss of what is probably the best striker in European club football in the long term.
