Playing for Cagliari since 2019/20, Argentinian-Spanish striker Giovanni Simeone, according to both French and Italian sources, is growing into a major target for Olympique Lyonnais. Already tracked by Olympique de Marseille, the legacy kid, briefly linked even to an Atletico Madrid move, where he would be trained by his dad, Diego Simeone, might be indeed moving from Italian low-tier quarters to Ligue 1 top ranking positions.
Currently on a deal with Isolani until June 2024, Simeone, turning 26 on July 5, was recently inquired about by more clubs around, including Sevilla FC, Valencia, Villarreal, and Torino. Before joining Cagliari, the 1995-born used to play for Fiorentina, Genoa, River Plate, and Banfield.
