Talking to Sky Sport, Gianluigi Buffon analyzes his departure from Juventus: "I am sure I have given Juventus the maximum level of professionalism, seriousness and reliability. I believe that these two years, beyond my role, for someone like me it wasn’s so obvious and easy to be able to adapt to being the second goalkeeper. I think I did it with great enthusiasm first of all out of respect for myself as a man because I am 43 years old and then for those who had faith in me that I would have gladly held this role, and then also for my teammates, with the trainer Filippi with Tek himself and with Pinsoglio.

Being an influential and somewhat cumbersome personality, it was not easy to belittle oneself, step aside and leave the stage lights aside. I'm happy, I think I passed this test brilliantly”, Buffon said.
