SERIE A - Fan Revolt: AC Milan lowers Champions League ticket prices

After a fan rebellion, AC Milan announced a "temporary" halt of ticket sales for its three Champions League group matches on Sunday, promising to decrease ticket costs.
After a seven-year hiatus from the Champions League, the club placed the first tickets on sale this week, at far higher rates than Serie A champions Inter Milan for their group games at the same venue.
A seat at one of the ends for AC Milan's Group B encounter against Atletico Madrid on September 28 cost 119 euros (141.50 dollars), while Inter's Group D match against Real Madrid on September 15 costs 48 euros.
"I have heard your concerns," wrote CEO Ivan Gazidis on the club website. "We have re-evaluated our decision ... Ticket sales will be temporarily suspended."
"We are all still facing the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic and the club suffered greatly from your absence from the stadium for the last 18 months, particularly in terms of the emotions and energy in the stadium, but also the impact on the club's financial position," he wrote.
