Former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri, who last was in charge at Craven Cottage with Fulham, is expected take charge of Watford in the next few hours, according to Sky Sports Italia. He returns to the league after three years.
The Italian will fly out to London to sign his contract with the club and replace the outgoing Xisco Munoz.
His last managerial role ended at Sampdoria last summer and with both the club and him failing to agree on a deal, he was let go.
Watford sit in 15th place in the league after a disappointing start to the 2021/22 season.
