Former France midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa is still a free agent, according to Foot Mercato, and is practicing on his own while awaiting offers.

The former Lyon, PSG, and Marseille midfielder had been in contact with a number of teams throughout the summer, including Lille, as well as clubs in Greece, Turkey, and Italy, and had recently been approached by Espérance Tunis, but discussions fell through.

According to a member of his entourage reached by Foot Mercato, Ben Arfa, who spent last season with Bordeaux following a brief experience with Real Valladolid in Spain, is taking his time and waiting for a "nice project" to come along.
