Recently turning down Italian fourth-tier side Sona Calcio, 37-year old former Icelandic international deep-lying midfielder Emil Hallfredsson is now soon to be joining third-tier one Virtus Verona. Last playing for Padova, Tottenham alumni is likely to be announced as a new signing by Scaligeri before the end of the day.

Almost exclusively fending in Italian football throughout latest fourteen years, Hallfredsson used to play also for Reggina, Hellas Verona, Udinese, and Frosinone. Besides, between 2005 and 2020, he capped 73 times for Icelandic senior national team, scoring barely one goal, back in 2007, and partaking into both Euro 2016 and World Cup 2018 campaigns.
