As reported on Villarreal official site, Yeremy Pino entered Villarreal record history last Tuesday. The young Canarian forward, since the match against Atalanta BC at the Estadio de la Cerámica, is the youngest player to play a Champions League match wearing Villarreal jersey. Thus, Yeremy jumped to the green in front of the Bergamo team with 18 years, 10 months and 22 days, establishing himself as a reference for all the young promises of the Grogueta Cantera who seek to reach the highest level by playing continental competitions with the first team.

The one from Las Palmas surpassed Xisco Nadal, current delegate of the first team, as the youngest Villarreal player to make his debut in the Champions League. Xisco did it against Manchester United on November 22, 2005 at Old Trafford with 19 years, four months and 24 days. It should be noted that Yeremy is currently one of El Submarino Amarillo soccer players with the best career outlook ahead of himself, and this milestone is good proof of this.
