LIGA - Atletico-Antoine Griezmann, the lost smile is back

At the end of the day, there was little left of the self-confident, happy, playful and always a joke Antoine Griezmann. Two years in the shadow of Lionel Messi and in unfamiliar positions had left its mark on the French attacker.

On Deadline Day, Griezmann returned to the lap of the familiar Atlético family. But not everything went smoothly from the start. The 30-year-old was stuck in his form, struggled with his new colleagues and first had to find his role.

We hope that this will help us to work better with the whole team ”, said a visibly relieved Diego Simeone after the win against Betis.

The message is clear: it is not done yet, but the prodigal son is on the way to old strength. The 'Mundo Deportivo' calls it "Griezmann's Resurrection". And he didn't even have to wait until Easter for that.
