Present in the Real Madrid group for the match against Shakhtar Donetsk (2-1, 4th day of the group stage of the Champions League), Wednesday at Santiago Bernabéu, Eden Hazard (30 years old) did not yet play any minute in this encounter.

An absence that re-fuel the worrying situation of the Red Devil in Madrid lands. Played only ten games in all competitions, for only four small starts in nine La Liga games, this season, the Belgian attacking midfielder has therefore experienced new frustration against the Ukrainians.

Asked at a press conference, Carlo Ancelotti, who had recently promised playing time for the former Lille, was thus justified for his choice to leave him on the bench for this meeting:

"It's normal to be angry at times, even more so in this context. I fully understand the reaction of a player who warmed up for 40 minutes on the edge of the pitch in the second half without coming into play in the end. I told these players that I was sorry, but that I did not want to make any changes.

Marcelo also warmed up for 40 minutes, and yet he is a player who has won the Champions League several times. I'm sorry, but my role is sometimes difficult and thankless.”

Not sure that the Italian's apologies reassure the main person concerned about his situation at Los Blancos.
