LIGA - Sevilla are closing in on the signing of River Plate's star
Sevilla need to close in the next three weeks, the reinforcements you want to add to the squad for the 21-22 season. In fact, the Spanish club are closing in on the signing of River Plate right-back Gonzalo Montiel, Estadio Deportivo reports.
The La Liga club are forking out €10 million to bring the 24-year-old to Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium on a five-year contract.
Montiel debuted in 2016 with the first ‘millionaire’ roster and has since disputed about 150 official matches, in addition to thirteen games with the Argentine national team. He appeared in four of Argentina's seven games during their run to glory at the Copa America earlier this summer. The Argentine wants make the leap to Europe and for this he has chosen the Andalusian club.
