On Monday, Le Parisien announced that Paris Saint-Germain was considering terminating the contract of their Spanish central defender Sergio Ramos.

Under contract until 2023, the former international of La Roja (180 caps, 23 goals) is still in rehabilitation and still has not played a minute under his new colors. And according to information from IUSPORT, the capital club will have to put their hands in their pockets to get rid of the former Real Madrid captain.

Indeed, PSG will have to respect article 17 of the Regulations for the Status and Transfer of Players: "In all cases, the party wishing to terminate the contract is required to pay compensation, which will be calculated according to the salary and advantages perceived by the player in question."

Spanish media add that these likely termination talks would be subject to specific clauses in Ramos' contract, which is likely to contain a provision for this situation, being a 35-year-old with a previous injury.
