LIGUE 1 - Thomas Tuchel suffered terribly during his time at PSG
Coach of Paris Saint-Germain from 2018 to December 2020, Thomas Tuchel led the Parisians to last year's Champions League final, the first in club history.
For this, he was able to count on Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, two players who are not always easy to train, as the German coach confided during his visit to the Festival dello Sport, organized by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Train Neymar and Mbappé? No, it's not easy. I had a very difficult time, ” he said.
“There was a very heavy pressure on my shoulders. Sometimes I couldn't sleep after I got home. Everything was negative. I felt the pressure was heavy. It wasn't all good times. It's still a mix. Do you feel the support of the club? The trust of people near you? All of this makes things easier.
If you don't feel all this, no matter what level you play at, you won't be at your best and you will start behaving politically and your team will feel it. Since joining Chelsea, I have been feeling 'good, confident, I'm more creative, ambitious, so that feeling carries over to the players and the team. This is how I feel right now."
