Karim Adeyemi says he feels "completely at home" at Borussia Dortmund and can imagine spending the rest of his career in black and yellow. Speaking to reporters at the Club World Cup, the 23-year-old striker underlined his special bond with the Bundesliga giants.

"I've always said I love this club. I supported Dortmund when I was a youngster - my family did too," he revealed, stressing that the connection runs far deeper than professional convenience.

Reus as the role model, but future still unwritten

The Germany international paid tribute to Marco Reus, the one-club icon who has "given everything" for Dortmund. "It would be crazy to claim I want to follow exactly in his footsteps,"Adeyemi admitted. "There are still a few years to go, but I feel great here and if I ended up playing for this club forever I certainly wouldn’t regret it."

At the same time, he acknowledged football’s unpredictability. "You never know where the path leads, what life will bring - but for now, everything here is perfect."

Adeyemi joined Dortmund from RB Salzburg for around €30 million in the summer of 2022. His words may leave every door technically ajar, yet they ring loud with one clear wish: to keep wearing the famous yellow shirt for as long as possible.
