Bayern CEO Dreesen: "Olise is staying. We have had no contact from Real Madrid"
Michael Olise's future appears to have been settled once and for all. The Bayern Munich winger has been heavily linked with Real Madrid in recent months, although the Spanish giants now appear to have shifted their focus to Yan Diomandé. Bayern, however, have made it abundantly clear that the France international is not for sale.
Speaking to reporters, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen left no room for speculation when asked about Olise's future.
"Yes, of course he will stay." Dreesen also dismissed suggestions that Real Madrid had made any kind of approach. "We haven't received a letter, a fax or even a phone call from Real Madrid."
The Bayern chief then poked fun at the speculation surrounding the former Crystal Palace winger.
"It's remarkable how far certain stories can spread when you know the truth. It's quite amusing. I've lost count of the number of friends and acquaintances who've asked me about Olise's situation."
Finally, Dreesen underlined Bayern's position by insisting the club have no intention of entertaining offers, regardless of the figures involved.
"No one has ever said to me: 'If someone offers €200m, you have to sell him.'"
Dreesen's comments appear to have brought an end to speculation over Olise's future, with Bayern Munich viewing the 24-year-old as a cornerstone of the club's long-term project.
