AS Roma open talks for Konstantinos Koulierakis as Wolfsburg defender emerges as target
AS Roma have identified Konstantinos Koulierakis as a potential addition to their defence, with talks already under way over a possible move from Wolfsburg. Although Gian Piero Gasperini already has several centre-backs at his disposal, the Giallorossi are looking to strengthen with an eye on both the present and the future.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Roma have opened discussions with both Wolfsburg and the player's representatives.
Player open to Serie A move
Negotiations are progressing on two fronts, with Roma in contact with both the Bundesliga club and Koulierakis' camp. One encouraging sign for the Italian side is that the 22-year-old is understood to be open to joining the Giallorossi. Despite his young age, Koulierakis has already earned 22 senior caps for Greece, making his international debut in November 2022. He was a regular for Wolfsburg last season, playing 2,840 minutes in all competitions and scoring four Bundesliga goals from centre-back.
