With Harry Kane's contract extension now finalised, Bayern Munich are turning their attention to securing the long-term future of Michael Olise.

The uncertainty surrounding Kane's new deal finally came to an end yesterday, although the delay was largely a matter of timing. Neither the England captain nor Bayern had ever questioned their mutual desire to continue together beyond the previous expiry date. Both sides had made it clear that such an important agreement required careful discussions rather than a rushed decision.

Bayern CEO Dreesen discusses Olise's contract
Bayern are not stopping with Kane. The German champions are now considering a new deal for another of their standout performers, Michael Olise, whose growing importance to the team could see him rewarded with a significant pay rise.

Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen addressed the possibility of extending the France international's contract following the agreement reached with Kane.

“This is something that Max [Eberl, Bayern's sporting director] and I are jointly responsible for. His contract runs until 2029, and we will sit down to discuss things at the appropriate time.”

Kane delighted after signing new Bayern deal
Meanwhile, Harry Kane has extended his contract with Bayern Munich until 30 June 2029, committing his future to the Bundesliga club.

Speaking after putting pen to paper, the England captain expressed his happiness at remaining in Germany.
“I really feel at home at Bayern. I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich. We have a fantastic team and a fantastic coach in Vincent Kompany. I am very proud to be part of this club,” Kane said. “My family are very happy here, and I wanted to stay. Now I am looking to the future and I want to win many more trophies.”
