Paris Saint-Germain remain determined to sign Maghnes Akliouche, but negotiations with Monaco are still some distance apart. Talks between the two clubs are continuing after the Ligue 1 champions saw their latest offer turned down.

According to L'Équipe, PSG remain confident of completing the deal before the transfer window closes. However, the club are in no rush and intend to continue negotiations in the hope of agreeing a fee they believe represents fair value.

The Parisians recently submitted an offer worth €45m for the attacking midfielder, whose contract with Monaco runs until 2028. The proposal was rejected, with the Principality club maintaining that it falls short of their valuation.

Monaco have no intention of lowering their demands and are continuing to hold out for a higher fee before considering the player's departure.

Despite the gap between the clubs' valuations, discussions are expected to continue over the coming days as both sides look to reach a compromise.

PSG have not cooled their interest in the France international, who has already earned 10 senior caps, but they will need to improve their offer if they are to persuade Monaco to sanction his departure.
