Bayern challenge As Roma and Juventus in market moves for George and Nicolas Jackson
A European heavyweight has entered the race for a player on Roma’s radar: Chelsea’s Tyrique George. According to Sky Sport Germany, Bayern Munich are assessing further options on the left flank and the 18-year-old winger, coached by Enzo Maresca, has emerged as a candidate in the final days of the window.
At the same time, Bayern are also working hard to secure a loan deal for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson – a player recently linked with Juventus as a potential attacking option.
One thing appears clear from the German side’s strategy: Bayern will not be making permanent signings at this stage. Any late additions would almost certainly arrive on loan.
As well as Roma, Sky report that two Premier League clubs are interested in George, while RB Leipzig had also shown an earlier interest in the youngster.
In his press conference ahead of AS Roma’s clash with Pisa, Gian Piero Gasperini also addressed questions about Jadon Sancho, with the Manchester United winger having been strongly linked with the club in recent weeks through sporting director Ricky Massara.
