SERIE A - AC Milan, Rafael Leão: "We must learn from our mistakes"

Reporting in the mixed zone of Champions League match against Atletico Madrid, after Colchoneros managed to have the upper hand on the final outcome, in spite of AC Milan having been leading the game more than one hour long, until barely a quarter to go (extended time included, seventh minute of which had Luis Suarez score Atletico victory goal by a penalty kick), Rossoneri forward Rafael Leão (scorer of Italian team only goal) stated:
“My goal? It would have been better to score and get a win, we created many chances before Kessie’s red card. We are disappointed, because we really wanted to win this match, and put pressure on the others. But we can learn a lot from these kind of mistakes, and we work with our heads held high.
We know that the Champions League is different from the Serie A, but we have to grow, both as individual players and as a team, and do the best we can next time. I’m happy for myself, but I think the most important thing today was to put a victory on board”.
