SERIE A - Inter, Conte will leave, here's why

Inter want to reduce the current wage bill by 20% and to make 100M plus valenza in the coming mercato. This is an ambitious goal and the result would mean both the sale of Conte’s players and also the question marks of his large salary.

The main difference between the Club and Conte is in the ambition. Conte would see the reduction of spending as a downsizing of ambition and he would prefer to find a project that matches his winning ambition.

A decisive meeting took place before the last game of the season where Conte met with the club. The belief is that the goal to achieve 100M in capital gains will be achieved by selling a big player from the squad and the wage reduction will also be achieved by letting go of players who receive large salaries and bringing in players who earn much less.

The result of all this would certainly mean a drastic change to the squad built by Conte, something he just could not accept.
