Not named into Euro 2020/21 Italy squad list, Italian defensive all-rounder Danilo D'Ambrosio, turning 33 on September 9, has been linked to a move to Napoli by his dad, Vincenzo D'Ambrosio, interviewed by pianetanapoli.it:
"Of course, Napoli are interested in signing him, and Danilo would be very happy to join in. Besides, he always was in very good terms with Spalletti, and they share a remarkable level of mutual appreciation. I hope this time's a charm, since he should have joined when Mazzarri was training Napoli already, but, that time, all talks went off and collapsed".
