Once having made his farewell to Juventus official, 43-year old Italian legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is making quite clear he's not going to quit playing pro football, in spite of being what is usually way beyond almost any football player's - even goalies - late years, ground career-wise. To this end, former Bianconeri captain, bidding Turin-based giants at least a goodbye after as much as an overall 19-year long course, has heavily been linked to AS Roma. Buffon, however, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, has in now way been shortlisted by next Giallorossi boss, José Mourinho, as a market target.

While AS Roma are getting rid of Pau Lopez anyways, the major name on "The Special One"'s list, besides the club's "usual suspects" Juan Musso (Udinese), Pier Luigi Gollini (Atalanta), and Alessio Cragno (Cagliari), turns apparently out to be Wolverhampton and Portuguese national team stopper Rui Patricio, possibly on his way out, and recently inquired about by Lazio as well. Meanwhile, Buffon has recently been shortlisted, on his hand, by a whole number of clubs around, including Atalanta, Genoa, Napoli, Dynamo Kyiv, Eintracht Frankfurt, Galatasaray, Olympiakos, and Sporting Lisbon, as a marketing move as well.
