Real Madrid, Martin Odegaard's future in doubt, will he stay at Madrid?

As reported by Spanish site As.com, Martin Odeegard's future hangs in the balance. The young Norwegian star, whose loan to Arsenal expires at the end of the season, is not sure where he will play next season, but puts everything in Real Madrid's hands:

"I don't know what is going to happen, I am a Real Madrid player, so I'll have to talk to them. It's important to know what they want" he said in an interview to Sky Sports Germany. Arsenal hope that he can stay in London on a permanent deal, as Odegaad has become one of Mikel Arteta's central pieces in the midfield, but Madrid have the final say, and it looks like Los Blancos are keen on retaining the Norwegian, as they face an aging midfield with mainstays Modric approaching 36 and Isco probably leaving the Bernabeu; Odegaard would be a quality and inexpensive replacement.
