BUNDES - Bayern looks set to sign Leipzig's Sabitzer for €16M
Marcel Sabitzer, the captain of RB Leipzig, appears to be on his way to Bayern Munich, the defending Bundesliga champions, who stated on Saturday that his prospective move "might be an issue for us."
The 27-year-old has been left out of Leipzig's squad for their Bundesliga encounter against Wolfsburg on Sunday.
Bayern Munich is likely to spend €16 million for the Austrian midfielder, according to the German newspaper Bild.
Sabitzer is out of contract in June after scoring 52 goals in 229 appearances for Leipzig since 2014.
He appears to be joining Julian Nagelsmann, who left Leipzig to coach Bayern this season, and former colleague Dayot Upamecano, who also left Saxony for Munich this season.
The transfer window ends on Tuesday, and Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic didn't rule out a move for Sabitzer before Saturday's Bundesliga match against Hertha Berlin at the Allianz Arena.
