BUNDESLIGA - Hertha - Augsburg, Richter & Maier swap clubs
Hertha BSC has signed Marco Richter from FC Augsburg. The 23-year-old signed a long-term contract with the capital city club. According to reports, a transfer fee of up to eight million euros is due for the powerful offensive player.
Richter switched to the FCA youth team in 2012 and made his breakthrough in the professional field at the Fuggerstadt team. Recently, however, the performance of the right foot stagnated somewhat. He now wants to take the next step in his career in Berlin.

Meanwhile, Arne Maier is taking the opposite path. The U21 European champion will be awarded to Augsburg for one season. The FCA secured a purchase option for the connection. Maier is 22 years old and lives in the central midfield. He spent the past season on loan with Arminia Bielefeld.
“I am happy that the move to FCA worked because I am convinced that I will find a great team at FCA and a great environment in which I can develop myself further. I want to play a successful season with the team and take responsibility on the pitch, ”says Maier.
